讲座内容简介

This paper introduces a centrality measure called robust centrality, which addresses the limitations of Katz centrality in terms of its sensitivity to the attenuation factor and its restrictive range of applicability. Robust centrality generates a partial order on the nodes of a network based on the aggregate number of neighbors at various distances. It constitutes the intersection of all total orders induced by diffusion centralities and is invariant to the choice of attenuation factors. We establish the relationship between robust centrality and other well-known centrality measures, showing that it lies strictly between the intersection of all total orders generated by Katz centralities and the weak centrality proposed by Sadler (2022). We propose an algorithm that terminates in an explicitly given finite number of steps to determine robust centrality rankings. Finally, we introduce a network order based on robust centrality and show that any network is dominated by some Nested Split Graphs under this order.
