In the previous session,we presented several stylized facts related to this article and introduced the fundamental mechanisms and conclusions,distinguishing between factor-augmenting technological progress and factor-biased technological progress.We built a model from the demand side of technology,deriving the relationships between substitution elasticity with relative prices,relative profits,and relative output.We then introduced the concepts of the price effect and the market size effect.
本期预告
We will develop a model from the supply side of technology,considering two distinct assumptions:state-independence and state-dependence.We will then derive the relationship between the direction of technological progress and substitution elasticity.Finally,we will apply the conclusions of this paper to explain the stylized facts mentioned in the introduction.
